    1968 Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale was the winner of “Best of Show” award at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este 2011. The Aston Martin V12 Zagato is the winner of “Concept car and Prototype” award. In this even other car like Trofeo BMW also won the “Best of Show” award. The BMW 328 Hommage also makes its debut on the Villa d’Este 2011 as iconic sport car .

    After presenting the award, General Director of BMW Motorrad Hendrik von Kuenheim shifted the spotlight to plans for the years ahead: “We are looking to develop this concours into a meeting point for all enthusiasts of motorcycle design.

    “That fits in with both the tradition of the BMW motorcycle brand and the passion for bikes here in Italy.”

    The extent to which tradition can inspire and the potential – and desired – impact of the past on the future of car design were both on the agenda at the high-powered annual Design Talk round table, which this year addressed the issue of heritage in design under the heading “Tradition & Future in Automotive Design”. Adrian van Hooydonk, Director BMW Group Design, joined Lotus Cars chief designer Donato Coco and Laurens van den Acker, Vice President of Renault Corporate Design, to mull over future-oriented design at car brands with a strong heritage.

     
  • Advanced Features of Endora SC-1

    Endora Cars is German based car company that unveils this Endira SC-I sedan version. This new sedan version from Endora is presented in a retro-futuristic character. This sedan variant Endora SC-I features powertrain and Corvette-derived chassis which is completed with innovative technology like LED lights. The sharp line on the front end design give distinctive character to the exterior of Endora SC-I. Other features of the exterior design are rear wheel skirt, long hood and elongated rear.

    The character of 1965 Corvette Coupé is shown by this Endora SC-I on its spacious and semi – wraparound rear window, whereas the American muscle car inspires the rear fascia which is equipped with LED – taillight. Among the engines is ranged from GM’s 6.2 Liter/376 ci Aluminum-V8 (437 hp, 424 lb-ft) until 7.0 Liter/437 ci engine that delivers 512 hp and 470 lb-ft of torque. Other features of this car are a six-speed-manual gearbox, and also a 6 speed automatic transmission which is provided for the smallest V8.

    Huayra is a successor sport car variant for the iconic ZOnda. This sporty yet elegance car variant was unveiled at first time by Pagani manufacturer in 1999. This elegance car design is completed by several advanced features such as advanced active aerodynamics system plus movable flaps as well as carbon-titanium monocoque. The sport car which has made its debut at 2011 Geneva Motor Show is equipped with a 6.0 V12 Mercedes-AMG engine that delivers 700 hp and 1,00 Nm. The top speed reaches over 370 km/h.     The design of this Huayra sport car concept is inspired by wings, which is applied on its doors which are able to be opened upward. This amazing Barchetta was built by SpadaVettureSport s.r.l. This totally customized car was ordered by a personal client who wishes customized car variant entirely based on Codatronca.

    The Codatronca Monza design adopts the same model which is found on the Ercole Spada’s projects, such as the iconic TZ2 as well as TZ1. This customized car variant has the rear “coda tronca” (“truncated tail” in Italian) that give bold character to the car design. The rear shape also give opportunity to to makes a trunk which is able to serves the suitcase set made by Anzom specifically. The Codatronca Monza is equipped by a 700 hp 7 liter V8 engine which produces a torque of 950Nm.
