• Cisitalia 202 E Inspired from Cisitalia 202 GT Coupé

    Cisitalia 202 E is a modern car concept which was created to pay homage to the legendary Cisitalia 202 which was designed by car maker Pinin Farina in 1947. The car design was created at IED on Turin by a design student from Master of Arts in Transportation Design.

    The concept of Cisitalia 202 E actually symbolizes the historical car which was became a legend, but the power and dimension on the new car has been modernized. Cisitalia 202 E was developed by partnership between the developers with other parties such as Pirelli, OZ Racing, ABET Laminati and CECOMP which responsibles in creatin car prototype construction.

    Talking about Cisitalia 202 GT Coupé, this legendary car was created in 1947 by Pinin Farina and was produced up to 1952 just in 170 units (containing cabriolet versions).

    The Cisitalia 202 GT Coupé was completed with 55 hp 1.1 liter 4-cylinder engine. The exterior of the car has elegance aluminum body where the design influences the next automotive design.

     
  • New SUV Variant, Tesla Model X

    The Model X concept by Tesla car maker is a new SUV variant which is designed with sculptural exterior preview and completed with rear gullwing-doors. The Model X SUV is expected to be produced in 2013. The car design also combines between the minivans function and SUV car variant.  Based on its versions the vehicle will be completed with 1 or 2 electric motors and powered with 60 or 85 kWh batteries. To make sprint from 0 until 60 mph Model X SUV variant just need less than 5 second. This car concept also can be used to reach long distance between 233 until 435 km.

    The cabin of the vehicle offers 3-rows of seats and can accommodate until 7-passengers. The third row can be reached easily by the original back doors which are ‘defined’ by falcon – doors. The production version of Tesla Model X is expected to go on sale at 2014.

     
  • Vittoria Sport Car by Umberto Palermo

    Below are some first images of Vittoris car concept which was created by an automotive designer named Umberto Palermo from UP Design. The prototype of this futuristic sport car was showcased at the 2012 Qatar Motor Show. The dimension of Vittoria sport car is created in 4.75 meters long, 1.96 meters wide and 1.25 meters tall.

    Looking at the exterior of this elegance sport car, you will find futuristic lines, elegance look and all distinctive design which are characterized by the long hood, sustainable shoulder and also the set back. The body features an expounded surface treatment combined with other special features like the front fenders, side doors and roof forming a single surface – colored in light grey – which flows into the rear end. The design of the vehicle is also completed with graphic element resulted from the LED headlight and also LED taillight. This Vittori sport car design is developed from a collaboration with Vehicle Engineering & Design.

     
  • 2012 Grand Cherokee is Ready Go Production

    Grand Cherokee 2012 model has been revealed by Jeep manufacturer at the Houston Auto Show. This new car design is ready to be produced. The exterior design of the 2012 Grand Cherokee Jeep variant is determined by stealthy exterior; this design is intended for attracting more customers. The new production of this Jeep version will has chrome, blacked-out and aggressive design.

    The space surround the grille is colored in black with mesh grille texture created from Platinum Chrome. This element creates unique element from the front end until rear end area. Through the car’s exterior, the blacked out is continued by the Black liftgate light – bar and black headlamp bezels as well. The interior of 2012 Grand Cherokee is completed with comfortable heated front seats, leather-trimmed seats, leather-wrapped steering wheel and shifter. The interior also support connectivity for Mp3 player and also iPod plus more than 50 radical safety and security systems.

     
  • Futuristic Car Concept, Mithos EV

    An automotive designer named Tiago Inácio from Portugal has created a new concept of electric car design which is named as Mithos EV. This car design project is aimed to create a functional vision which can be applied in the future electric vehicle. The first modeling and styling design was developed at 2006, and then at 2011 the design of the car was improved. The exterior design of Mithos EV is characterized with black coloring and aerodynamic yet flowing silhouette plus elegance look. The chosen black color is aimed to present modern yet elegance view of the vehicle due to its projection as futuristic car design.

    The designer commented, “My references are Tim Burton’s Batmobile Car and several latest cars and prototypes.”

    Tiago Miguel Inácio is a young automotive designer, he is 33 years old and graduate from Industrial Design from the Architecture Faculty of Lisbon’s (1995-2001). Working at 3D animation studio Endpoint from 2001.
